Pavilion Arena Boulevard

New Design of stand alone sustainable pavilion at Arena Boulevard – Demolition of existing Febo Kiosk of 450 m2 and expand to a mature building of 1.500 m2, with two floors and a protecting canopy around the façade to create a more human scale.

Also a beautiful roof terrace located on the south side, with a hospitality lounge giving visitors the chance to meet each other in a lively place. The horeca pavilion is also developed for a fully energy-conscious future without gas, equipped with a green roof, sixty solar panels, heating installation, geothermics and a floor system for cooling and heating.

The objective is to create space for other concepts besides the Febo and New York Pizza. It would be more like a Grand Café Boulevard to have a drink with colleagues after work or with friends before visiting a concert or soccer game. There is space at the event plaza and the ground floor and open spaces as well as fast circulation formulas in de horeca section.

With the Ziggo Dome, the AFAS Live and the Johan Cruyff Arena stadium, this is a square with at least 9 million visitors each year. In addition to a concert or a soccer game, these people are also looking for a fast snack. Most will prefer to sit in the square or be protected from the elements by a shelter or canopy in the new pavilion. This will give a much more human and friendly ambiance on the boulevard and during events. We engineered this pavilion together with project architects: Job Schroen, Paul van Ginkel, Inbo and Strackee Amsterdam.
